Live in the Meow

No better way to start up my style posts again than with this look. Love this graphic sweatshirt from Forever 21! I paired it with a red satin skirt for the first day of Red Ribbon Week. Opaque black tights, pointed toe booties, and my new Memebers Only vegan leather jacket topped of the look!

Little (Denim) Dress

When I spotted this dress online at F21 I died and went to fashion heaven. I’ve been eyeing a frayed denim dress for the likes of $120 and to find one for $30 was almost to good to be true. Almost. This dress is a softer, stretchy version to the traditional thick denim but it works for the purpose of a comfortable, on-the-go look. I’ve worn it with lace up gladiators and last night with white cons for a concert. Bottom line, you need this dress. It’s definitely going to be on repeat in my wardrobe for a long, long time.

September Prep

Today we got a surprise half day because of the heat – well, the students did. What I got was two extra hours to get things ready for the end of the year and luckily next school year also! I created two bulletin boards for September. One for classroom rules that I plan on keeping up all year and one to jumpstart the school year. Check them out!!

Asbury

I’ve been spending a lot of time in Asbury lately, and this past Saturday was no exception. Spotted this killer wall walking to the Stone Pony for a concert and could not resist taking a few pics!

A Color of His Own

After reading the story A Color of His Own by Leo Lionni, we discussed the message of the story – that it’s what you are inside that tells your true self and your identity, not what’s on the surface. From there, the students created their own chameleons placed on top of something that reflected their identity or personality. Here are a few of my favs (including my own – ha!):
