When I spotted this dress online at F21 I died and went to fashion heaven. I’ve been eyeing a frayed denim dress for the likes of $120 and to find one for $30 was almost to good to be true. Almost. This dress is a softer, stretchy version to the traditional thick denim but it works for the purpose of a comfortable, on-the-go look. I’ve worn it with lace up gladiators and last night with white cons for a concert. Bottom line, you need this dress. It’s definitely going to be on repeat in my wardrobe for a long, long time.
I’ve been on a spring shoe shopping frenzy. I can’t stop buying flats, espadrilles, sandals, sneakers. I want all of it – even though I definitely did not need a fifth (!!!!) pair of slip on sneaks. Whatever.
My most loved pairs from my recent purchases are these two bad boys:
The sneakers are from F21 and are to. die. for. They’re perfectly studded and super comfy. The light grey color and the sparkle from the studs make these the perfect sneakers for spring/summer. The espadrille flats I got on sale from Target. I really like how they’re not just your typical espadrille flat. The front material is almost like a suede and the contrast with the brown faux-leather stitching is spot on. The stud trend is displayed nicely with a native design – accompanied by springs other huge trend – fringe – on the heel.
Happy 2015!! How was everyone’s NYE? I spent the night back at school with my best friends, which is always a good time. I set up a backdrop for photos, which in my mind looked much better, but I’m still pretty satisfied with how it turned out. I mean, it’s on the staircase of a college house basement. It worked for what I wanted though – just a little New Year’s flare. I wore head-to-toe Forever 21, keeping it pretty casual in a plain black shift dress, booties, and a silver statement necklace for a little extra oomph. Those booties also proved to not be as comfortable as I thought when I wore them out a previous night, probably because they’re still brand new and I was wearing them for hours – and walking around town. Yikes. Needless to say I was plenty happy to be taking them off at the end of the night.
Anyway, I’m feeling some seriously good vibes about 2015 and I hope you all are too. Here’s to a new year of fun, fashion, and TEACHING!
Tonight – these happened. Consider me the happiest girl on the planet. Happy Hanukkah/Christmas to me! They have the most amazing pointed toe and the block heel makes these 3 1/2 inches feel like nothing. I’ll be wearing these with a black shift dress and some major jewelry for new years eve.
You can find these bad boys at Forever 21 – and right now all boots are 30% off. Snag them while you can, ladies.
How’s everyone’s summer going? I have no excuse (besides summer classes and work) not to post this summer. I let the blog go a little bit the last few months with school coming to an end, graduation, senior activities, the beginning of summer, etc. I recently went on vacation to Cape Cod with my family and it was the greatest week. The weather was beautiful, we ate plenty of seafood and icecream, and spent everyday on the beach. I of course did some shopping while I was there, and thanks to myself and (mostly) my mom, I snagged a couple cute things to add to my ever-growing closet. This unbelievably cool cropped kimono is from a boutique in Provincetown. Once I saw it I had no choice but to walk out of the store with it. The red color is perfection, and the ivory design throughout makes it so interesting to the eye, but the fringe in the front is my favorite part! My mom also graciously bought me my first pair of Birkenstocks. She literally lives in birks – the woman has to have at least six different pairs, probably more. I went with a beautiful navy blue pair with a double strap, one wrapping around the toe. They’re pretty comfy, but I haven’t completely broken them in yet. I’m waiting for the day they’re finally molded to my feet! All the bracelets (except for the gold) were also found a various boutiques in Provincetown. Those I paid for myself, don’t worry. A halter top and boyfriend jeans made this the perfect outfit for a night in town and dinner by the bay. I’ll definitely be repeating this outfit more than once before the summer is over!

Kimono’s are a super hot item to have in your spring/summer wardrobe this season. You can get one anywhere these days – from Forever 21 (where I got mine) to Free People, Topshop, Nasty Gal, etc. The options truly are endless. You can grab a cropped kimono or one that flows down to your ankles. With plenty of colors and patterns to choose from, the kimono is the perfect piece to throw on top of a plain tee/tank and some cut offs to complete a look that says “I didn’t try to look this good.”
Have any of you hopped on the kimono trend?
Literally just realized I didn’t cut off those stupid hanger straps – Please ignore those annoying little things!

Necklace – Dogeared; Evil Eye Earrings – Free People; Sunnies – found on Amazon.com; Nail Polish – Revlon Sunlit Grass
Well many moments, actually. I’m having a slip-on moment. A gold moment. And now I am continuing my ever growing jacket moment. I just want more jackets.. is that too much to ask? I’ve been on a mission for a wallet-friendly, light, spring jacket. Mainly a parka or a utility jacket, if we’re being specific. I couldn’t find the right jacket anywhere and I’ve been pretty salty about it until today. I just happened to be on Forever21.com – because why would I actually be writing my research paper – and they were having BUY 1 GET 1 FREE ON ALL SALE. Yes. I know. Usually I don’t give the F21 sale section any time of day just because the clothes are so affordable to begin with. However, the heaven’s above persuaded me to take a peek and I am so very grateful that they did. So, for a whopping $29 I got these TWO jackets:
Now, go on! Forget that research paper/lesson plan/whatever and shop!
