When I spotted this dress online at F21 I died and went to fashion heaven. I’ve been eyeing a frayed denim dress for the likes of $120 and to find one for $30 was almost to good to be true. Almost. This dress is a softer, stretchy version to the traditional thick denim but it works for the purpose of a comfortable, on-the-go look. I’ve worn it with lace up gladiators and last night with white cons for a concert. Bottom line, you need this dress. It’s definitely going to be on repeat in my wardrobe for a long, long time.
With the sun staying out later and the temperatures slowly rising, I’m itching for spring. Transitioning with shorter hemlines, tights, and dark florals is the perfect way to ditch the sweaters and corduroys but still keep those legs covered for chilly mornings.
This sweatshirt-esque top is from Gap. I have it in gray also because it’s perfect in every way. If you can snag it on sale still I am telling you it’ll be the best decision you ever make.

Today was the last day for free shipping (no minimum!) and an additional 60% off sale items online at American Eagle and Aerie. Of course this deal has been going on for days, so practically everything was sold out except xxs or xxl, of which I am neither. Luckily, I was able to snag two sweet items at literally next to nothing. I’m really into hats and jogger sweatpants right now, so there was no question when I found both for the combined price of $17. What a freaking DEAL. Click the images below to go straight to the aerie site and buy them for yourself! Quick before they sell out – happy shopping!
Aerie Baseball Hat, Ditsy, $11.99 (add to cart for additional 60% off)
Aerie Skinny Jogger, Medium Heather Grey, $31.99 (add to cart for additional 60% off)
Happy 2015!! How was everyone’s NYE? I spent the night back at school with my best friends, which is always a good time. I set up a backdrop for photos, which in my mind looked much better, but I’m still pretty satisfied with how it turned out. I mean, it’s on the staircase of a college house basement. It worked for what I wanted though – just a little New Year’s flare. I wore head-to-toe Forever 21, keeping it pretty casual in a plain black shift dress, booties, and a silver statement necklace for a little extra oomph. Those booties also proved to not be as comfortable as I thought when I wore them out a previous night, probably because they’re still brand new and I was wearing them for hours – and walking around town. Yikes. Needless to say I was plenty happy to be taking them off at the end of the night.
Anyway, I’m feeling some seriously good vibes about 2015 and I hope you all are too. Here’s to a new year of fun, fashion, and TEACHING!
Picked up these little suede booties from DSW the other day on clearance for – you won’t even believe it – $8.99. DEAD. Click here to check them out yourself, but check your local DSW before you buy them online for $69.95. They may not be worth it for that price, but on clearance they’re a steal, pretty comfy, and a great addition to your Fall boot collection.
How’s everyone’s summer going? I have no excuse (besides summer classes and work) not to post this summer. I let the blog go a little bit the last few months with school coming to an end, graduation, senior activities, the beginning of summer, etc. I recently went on vacation to Cape Cod with my family and it was the greatest week. The weather was beautiful, we ate plenty of seafood and icecream, and spent everyday on the beach. I of course did some shopping while I was there, and thanks to myself and (mostly) my mom, I snagged a couple cute things to add to my ever-growing closet. This unbelievably cool cropped kimono is from a boutique in Provincetown. Once I saw it I had no choice but to walk out of the store with it. The red color is perfection, and the ivory design throughout makes it so interesting to the eye, but the fringe in the front is my favorite part! My mom also graciously bought me my first pair of Birkenstocks. She literally lives in birks – the woman has to have at least six different pairs, probably more. I went with a beautiful navy blue pair with a double strap, one wrapping around the toe. They’re pretty comfy, but I haven’t completely broken them in yet. I’m waiting for the day they’re finally molded to my feet! All the bracelets (except for the gold) were also found a various boutiques in Provincetown. Those I paid for myself, don’t worry. A halter top and boyfriend jeans made this the perfect outfit for a night in town and dinner by the bay. I’ll definitely be repeating this outfit more than once before the summer is over!

No more than an hour ago, I got a knock on my door and a very nice UPS man handed over a very large package from Nordstrom. Inside this magical box was a pair of the most beautiful sandals I’ve laid eyes (and feet) on in quite some time. I am dying. Inside and out. They are fabulous visually and feel great on. The true test will be when I spend a day in them (this weekend, of course). I am confident that they will be super comfy based on their thick, padded footbeds and sneaker-like soles. Just take a look so you can feel the feelings that have overcome me. You’re welcome.
